2021 has been a busy year for us at Magnitude. Not only have we simplified and streamlined our product brands and introduced our new product lines with a new digital experience, our product and development teams have been busy working on great new features that will enhance the usability and efficacy of our products. We will be rolling out these new features, products, and solutions over the coming weeks – beginning with today’s announcement of new features available in Magnitude Angles for SAP (formerly Every Angle).

Building on significant enhancements released last year, we have introduced a number of new Angles for SAP features that will greatly improve how business users access data from their SAP system to provide a faster, more customizable experience for the user.

Use Angles to feed your Business Intelligence platform

Business users often struggle to capture meaningful, low-level detail data from their SAP system to aggregate and communicate with people in different departments on different levels. Angles for SAP delivers contextualized and enhanced SAP data directly to all standard BI reporting platforms and ETL tools by embedding industry-leading ODBC technology from Magnitude Simba to access all information in the Angles platform and make it available to third-party tools and platforms. This feature allows users to utilize the extensive Angles business data model without the need to use the Angles UI; rather a report or dashboard can be created directly within your BI tool of choice.

Single Sign On (for Angles Components)

Users wanting to access multiple components of the Angles for SAP solution can now use SSO to access all components of Angles without needing to enter a password again.

Understand Changes Made to Deliveries, Orders, and Reservations

Business users often need to understand changes made to deliveries or orders, etc., to answer important questions like these and more:

  • “Which orders have changed since our last report?”
  • “Who changed the Basic Finish Date for my order? And why?”
  • “What is the creation date on a given reservation?”
  • “What were the manual changes to the confirmed delivery dates?”
  • “Who removed the delivery blocks from specific deliveries?”

They need to be able to answer these ad hoc questions quickly and easily, which is what this new feature enables without having to run time-consuming delta reports to uncover changes.

Bulk Tag Changes

Late last year, we introduced the ability to use Tags for organizing Angles and Dashboards. This new functionality allows a user to add or remove Tags from Angles and/or Dashboards in bulk, thereby improving the effectiveness of this new means of display for users.

Cycle Counting Enhancements

ABC counting is one of the most widely used systems for Cycle Counting due to its simplicity. With ABC counting, materials are divided into three to four categories (labeled A, B, C...), and each category has its own interval for the Cycle Counting. Usually the A-category is the category with the most expensive materials and the fastest moving product. On the other hand, the C (or D) category contains the slow movers and items low in value.

Angles for SAP has enhanced functionality in the Material Plant object allows business users to better control the counting process:

  • “When was the last time a material was counted?”
  • “Which materials are overdue for counting or how many materials should be counted?”

Display the Status of IDOCs in the System

IDOCs (Intermediate Documents) are used in SAP for business transaction data transfer, for example for communication with suppliers or customers. The IDOC control and status data is now available for analysis within Angles for SAP. This data enables business users to maintain and optimize IDOC data transfer process in an efficient way. The new object SAP IDOC Status can be found in the IT business process. Questions that the object will make it easy to answer include:

  • “Which IDOCs have not been processed successfully?”
  • “What was the reason for failure?”
  • “Which communication partner is the sender/receiver of the failed IDOC?”
