ErgoAnalyzer Filters
in Analyses
A common need is
to be able to screen or filter the database based upon some criteria.
Here, you can save the surviving users, of the filter, to a new group
file:
1. Create a New
Group Activity Analysis:

2. Select your
data items and enter a filter. In the example below, we are looking for
users, within a group of users called Study, that have typed more than
5,000 keystrokes in any day in September. You can also combine data
items here quite easily.

3. If you wish to
further define the analysis, click on the “Options” button:

4. Uncheck the
“Display users that fail all filters” checkbox to instruct the analysis
to selectively display the resulting users.
5. If you wish to
save the users that pass this filter to a group, then enter a new group
name into the “Save users surviving your filters to this group” textbox.
6. When you
execute the analysis, a new group will be created. This text box will
be cleared upon execution of the analysis.
